Southern Square Bridal Show – Meet the Editor Recap

Augusta, GA is best known as the hometown of James Brown and the internationally renowned Masters Golf Tournament. However, the city was buzzing with excitement as the 4th Southern Square Bridal Show announced Sunday( the 23rd of August) as the date for one of the most highly-coveted bridal shows hosted within the high-end wedding location- Enterprise Mill.

The finest wedding vendors of the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) rushed to secure their beloved spots and began brainstorming their booth layouts, spotlighted their special offers and choose which “wedding sursies” (southern word for giveaways) they would place in the hands of their brides-to-be.

World Bride Magazine warmly thanks the Southern Square Bridal Show team for partnering with our magazine as one of their exclusive media partners. It was an amazing event! Brides and Grooms flocked to the Southern Square Bridal Show which hosted our World Bride Magazine lounge on that beautiful August Sunday afternoon. The Southern Square Bridal Show is primarily known for its intimate and beautiful ambiance. Brides and Grooms looked forward to a stress-free atmosphere where they received mini consultations and creative ideas for their big day. So, at the crack of dawn, wedding vendors began setting up their booths with love and care eagerly awaiting visitors on a wedding mission.

Once the doors opened guest flooded the showroom floor keeping the first-class wedding vendors busy throughout the event. 4-time Hostess Tracy Englund and her team spared no measures at this event. Their hard work and dedication produced a show which highlighted many bridal inspirations, wedding planners, photographers, DJs, raffles prizes, treasured giveaways and a fun-filled atmosphere where visitors and vendors connected for wedding plans outside of the show.

Under our motto “It’s wedding o’clock somewhere in the world” our WBM Lounge was busting at the seams. Greeted with strawberry mimosas, visitors were mesmerized as they perused our magazines on display. While speaking to editor, Susan Dilworth, Brides and Grooms got an exclusive introduction of our WBM premium articles, spreads on international weddings, Bride and Groom fashion, destination weddings, as well as “Real Bride” stories and competitions. Cotton candy pop ups provided by ‘Tootsies Treats & More’ were given to newsletter subscribers and many took a deserved break on our couch to talk to the ‘Queens Bout Action’ – Atlanta based radio personalities “Sunshine & Sweet Tea”. They were asked to answer the big WBM question: “What is the essence of southern weddings?”. Stay tuned for this interview coming soon on our WBM website. Fun and laughter was provided by the JW Impressions Photobooth Experience where our guests could take amusing pictures and have them printed to take home on the spot.

Special thanks to our Raffle Sponsors; ‘The Willcox Hotel’ located in the charming Downtown District of Aiken, SC for the magnificent spa retreat for two, the beautifully handcrafted earrings from ‘Heavenly Beads & More’, and the adult “Nice&Naughty” Gift bag from “Queens Bout Action” (formed by Atlanta-based radio personalities “Sunshine & Sweet Tea”).

WBM wishes all the Brides and Grooms good luck and many blessings as they plan their wedding day.
