Bachelorette Getaway: Hilton Sandestin, Florida

My fourteenth floor oceanfront balcony affords me a beautiful view of puffy white clouds floating over the Gulf’s emerald waters. This beautiful seascape and white sandy beach are at the same time calming yet exciting me to get out and enjoy all that the Hilton Sandestin has to offer. Not long after check-in, I can tell this resort will be perfect for our girl’s getaway – Florida Gulf Coast style!

Martini Tasting Dinner

Upon entering Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood, my group instantly notices its style and sophistication. Rich dark woods, subdued lighting, and a smooth jazz pianist create a truly classy atmosphere. In our private dining room, we sip on martinis paired with an exquisitely prepared five-course meal. My favorite was the Sparking French Martini made with Grey Goose, Chambord, and Moet with a splash of fresh pineapple. While each course was delicious, my favorite was the seared scallop with pear and roasted onion on a bed of grappa risotto. Seagar’s was the perfect beginning to our time in Sandestin.

Sunrise Yoga

Before the sun had broken the horizon, we meet our yoga instructor on the oceanfront deck. Finding my spot, I roll out a yoga mat for my first ever sunrise yoga experience. Facing the sun, I follow her instructions while watching the orange sky slowly transform into a cheery yellow. The gentle crashing of the waves provides all the background music necessary. Not normally a morning person, I nonetheless find sunrise yoga totally worth a pre-dawn start to my day.

Emerald Coast Beach Time

Under a Hilton Sandestin signature yellow umbrella, I lounge in my beach chair, relaxing to the gentle motion of the emerald waves. Their beautiful color is attributed to the sun’s reflection off the unique algae found in this area. I will never tire of the picture perfect beach. The great conversation among friends and the scenic view make me never want to leave.

Dinner at Hadashi Sushi Bar

This chef-driven sushi bar merges art and cuisine, showcasing the immense talent of Chef Jin Kim. Along with Asian flavors, Chef Kim brings nature to his creations by using exotic flowers, vegetables, and fruit to enhance sushi and sashimi entrees. Every dish that made its way to our table was rich in taste and textures, pleasing everyone.

Serenity by the Sea Spa

Girls love to get pampered, so why not treat ourselves to a spa afternoon. The Serenity by the Sea’s Aroma Stone Massage was on tap for all of us – a Swedish massage enhanced with heated stones and aromatherapy. After my lovely massage therapist melted away my back tension, I joined my friends in the bubbling whirlpool, and then we hit the steam room before we found ourselves back on the white sand beach.

Beach Bonfire with S’mores & Champagne

After a delicious dinner at Sandcastles restaurant, we say farewell on the beach around a roaring bonfire, while sipping champagne, and indulging with s’mores. Talking and laughing around the fire, everyone agrees that Hilton Sandestin was the ideal resort for a girls’ getaway. Our enchanting beach sendoff will be one I will never forget.
