NYFW- The Artistry Of A Garment Created by Son Jung Wan

Son Jung Wan has been inspiring us for some years now, and with each collection, they translate as a work of art.

Getting dressed is a normal thing in this life.  Substance and covering can be had by everyone. But what you wear, and how you wear it is where your individuality comes into play.

Style, being fashionable, having taste it takes on a different mean with each person.  So every fashion season when attending New York Fashion Week our goals is simply to report on designers, trends that will inspire your look for your wedding day.  Either for the bride, the bridal party and their guests.

So when we had the opportunity to view her collection this season we knew it would inspire you, our reader that looks to not only throw on clothes but dress for the occasion.

The Korea-born designer this season found inspiration in what she’s calling “a dramatic move” by way of highlighting glamour and exaggerated silhouettes. The collection was bold, with pops of poppy contrasted by stark clean white. The finishes of 3D laces and holographic fabrics projected onto to vintage-inspired tailored shapes keep the collection contemporary; while spangle and beading evoke glamour as florals bring a sense of luxury.  These romantic and chic silhouettes, through draping and tailoring, made each piece desirable and wearable art.

Son Jung Wan expressed to us the impact art plays in her creations.  She is inspired by it on all levels.  Her garments are her expression of art.

So behold our favorite looks from the collection that will inspire you.
