So your planning your wedding. You don’t want the conventional catering hall kind of space. The fact is your no ordinary couple so why settle for just any space or feel obliged to selecting a space that doesn’t suit your personality.

Well we understand. So we at World Bride Magazine pride ourselves in presenting you with some of the best locations under the radar.

This past Fall I had the pleasure to visit a location that I traditionally may have not visited during this time of the year, Fall on the tip of Winter. I am not a fan of the cold weather. So for me to visit a location that was outdoors was out of character for me. But I stepped out of my comfort zone and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Located between the Catskill and Berkshire Mountains, Gather Greene is a women-owned establishment that is truly breathtaking for those who love the outdoors and open space. We had the pleasure of getting first look of the space before all the fabulous promotion of the venue.

The Women Behind The Genius Space

Co-owners and co-designers Amna Ali and Jackie Brown, who sought to fill a niche in the retreat and special event venue market, as well as create a space where they could allow their design dreams to flourish. Their vision was for all of the architectural interventions to feel modern and intentional, and yet at the same time be able to blur the boundaries of indoor and outdoor experience within the built environment.

Amna and Jackie’s inspiration not only came from the property’s dramatic
landscape and scenic surroundings but also the Dutch word Gezellig – loosely translated to mean, “to gather with friends in a cozy environment.” Gezellig refers not just to that feeling from being around friends, but also the feeling the actual space evokes. This word set the tone for their new venture.

The space allows you to bring your own vendors to design the space for your wedding or soiree. While they have a list of preferred vendors that they work with, you are not limited to them solely.

What The Space Offers You & Your Beloved

The Pavilion: A unique indoor-outdoor structure, the Pavilion is surrounded by sculptural wooden screening walls creating an enclosed space while allowing event attendees to take in the views of both the Catskill and Berkshire Mountains, and enjoy the ethereal mountaintop light. The arched ceiling elements soar to over 28 feet tall and the venue boasts over 4,000 square feet of unobstructed space.

All wedding receptions are held in the Pavilion, which is customizable for
changes in weather. It can be left open air or sheltered from the rain, wind and intense sun by exterior grade shades. All in-house lighting is dimmable, and the event space comes with a fully equipped catering kitchen, two dressing suites with full ensuite bathrooms, five single-use bathrooms, one single-use accessible bathroom, and an upstairs lounge area featuring 725 square feet of flexible space.

The Grounds: A grassy clearing in the woods, an open field set between two
mountain ranges or a meadow beside the Shale Quarry Pond can serve as
bucolic settings for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions.

How many people can you host in the pavilion excluding the grounds? It has the capacity to host 250 seated guests. The grounds is so huge should you decide to have more or multiple stations on the grounds. You can get creative.
