A Chic Wedding in the Mile-High City

Wedding at The Maven Hotel, Denver, CO

When I first walked into the Maven Hotel in downtown Denver, the first thing I thought of was, Wow, this is great place to have a party. With a vintage airstream parked by the front door serving margaritas and tequila shots (coffee in the A.M. hours),the energetic lobby highlight the Dairy Block’s eclectic mix of local art and handmade products delivered by a passionate and incredibly staff, what else could you think? Featuring more than 400 original art pieces created by emerging and established Colorado artists, coupled with an inviting industrial design, The Maven is an obvious urban wedding paradise.

A little background on the digs: The distinctive Maven anchors Denver’s new Dairy Block, an exciting micro-district in the heart of Lower Downtown (referred to as the LoDo neighborhood). Opened in 2017, The Maven has a lobby opens up to The Alley, a lively community gathering place that runs from 18th and 19th between Blake and Wazee Streets and houses an eclectic mix of Colorado retailers, artisans, chefs and cocktail crafters.

Now back to hosting your wedding event at the Maven…The ultra-chic hotel offers 2,100 square feet of modern event space. The Maven’s Windsor Ballroom can accommodate wedding groups of up to 120 people. Featuring exposed brick and dark hardwood floors, the Windsor opens onto the Dairy Block Alley via large garage doors to seamlessly connect the urban indoor and outdoor spaces. The hotel prides itself on fully-customizable events and depending on the personalized package, the average range runs about $85 – $125 per person. After the party shuts down, your guests  can stay over at the The Maven’s 172 industrial guest rooms, many which are outfitted with stunning murals and some even feature bunkbeds and swings. Meanwhile, the newlyweds can retire in one of the hotel’s eleven expansive Suites, including a Diamond Suite, which is thematically dedicated to baseball. (The hotel is located one block from Coors Field.) Even if you’re not a baseball fan, there’s a good chance you’ll be rooting for the home team from your dreamy soaking tub, sipping champagne on your wedding night.
