Let’s get party started!

………………………………………………………..

The atmosphere and especially the musical mood during a French wedding is very important.  Often, the couple’s main desire during their first meeting with their Wedding Planner is that all the guests have a great time: “We want a great atmosphere and everyone has fun.”

After the importance of gastronomy and their meals, French couples therefore pay particular attention to musical entertainment.

For the Cocktail, it is not rare that the choice arises on a band of music.  The musical instrument and singer side offers a live, elegant, festive, warm and friendly side.  On a more cozy atmosphere and lounge, to let the guests and the couple enjoy their Cocktail to exchange with their loved one.  It’s the most cool moment in terms of emotion, of the day. The couple just want to enjoy and relax.

Live band, DJ for the evening?  This is a question that comes up more and more often.  It depends of course the style you want.

But the demand that we find almost every time is where the couple wants a DJ who doesn’t speak too much . Exit the time when the DJ turned into a party leader. Some will find this a shame.  Here again it is necessary for everyone .

In the USA you have people specialized in this just in addition to the DJ.  They are called MCs. Whoever holds the microphone, animates the evening and acts as “master of the evening” and motivates to invite them.

In France, we can be proud to have a certain musical richness with a rich and varied choices.

Have you ever listened to the radio in the USA?  Many stations pass all styles of music, old, recent … Of course there will be specified radio hip hop, Latin etc … In France have you noticed that old tubes are on some radio only?  There is not really a mix of ages.

We find this in weddings.  At a wedding in France, you often have the moment music “Mega tubes” then Jean Jacques Goldman and company, the current music, then return on something else again and so on.  Of course, some DJs work differently. And the music happens during sequences at the end of these.

In the USA, the music is not spent in full.  The old tubes that for us seem has been always a card there.  And yes Gloria Gaynor is always in a rage with her I will survive and so on.  Everything works therefore in quick succession and the different ages are more mixed.  Not that so surprising in a country where everything is going fast all the time.

Do not forget that if in France we party all night, this is not the case in the USA.  This is also one of the criteria in France to know if the party was successful: at what time the wedding ended?  The more late and early at the same time, the more it means that the party is a success!

In the USA most rooms will close at 10/11PM but the party will be as beautifulof course.

 Let’s get party started!

A special thank you to our great DJ Patrice Rico, DJ in Provence (France), who performed the musical sequence of our show for the opening of Bridal Fashion Week in New York on October 2, 2019.
