Dress me up with Love

Bridal Market Week in New York was pretty traditional this year.  I found it to be a little a little dim.  The fashion seem to stay pretty much the same.  There is not va va voom in the dresses.  The typical lace texture, the same white, off white, soft beige colors.   It makes me wonder does the today woman still consider her self a princess, is she still waiting for prince charming on his white horse to save her?   Is white really considered purity, why?  Why do I have to wear white shoes with my off white dress, why can’t I wear read shows.  Do I have to wear a veil?

All these questions that crossed my mind as I walked through the floor of the lovely Continental Hotel in New York City.

I wanted so to visit some of our favorite designers a Kristey Kelly for Disney Collection, that is always fun and playful for the princess bride.  What did impress me the most was the new Disney Collection of Princess Teyanna, the first African Princess, the jewelry collection was quite beautiful I have to say.  They also released a collection of fine jewelry as well for the big girls that like shiny things.   Gorgeous.  Now for the bride that is young or young at heart and stills desires to see herself as a princess Designer Loft is most definitely the place to visit for all your bridal needs.  From Brides Maids, to flower girls, veils, accessories they are your one stop shop.   The staff AMAZING!

Our next stop was Selia Yang.  To die for.  Now this is woman’s designer, sexy sensual, and daring.  Both and design and in fabrication.  No I have to admit her designs are for the very body confident woman.  You can’t be shy to wear her dresses because the designs are quite va va voom.  Her dress has graced our cover with Sherri Saum which can attest to how sinful she can be.  The feed back on that cover was amazing.  Selia Yang is a must see for all you brides who dares to be confident.

But I did find some excitement in the accessories, continue to be exciting.  From the feathers, the net veils, diamond pendants pretty snazzy.  The Shoes from blinged out to my amazement which put a little taste of dare into things.  Paradox London most definitely made a definite statement in that area.

Now for the men they did have the tuxedo options for you which I looked at was pretty classic.  Being familiar with the brand the quality they offer to their customers is pretty standard and their customer service skills are pretty impressive.  So Dante Zellers definitely gets a thumbs up from WBM.

So happy shopping to all our couples planning their weddings.IMG_2920IMG_2940IMG_2922IMG_2943
