Asian women are known worldwide for their flawless skin and daily multi-step skincare routine. Due to Asian women’s neutral skin tone and yellow undertones, whitening skin has become essential. Since Asian women everywhere search for just the right skincare tips and products, the South Korean skincare products are fast enjoying their spotlight in a crowded international marketplace, due to affordability and fine quality.
In many Asian homes women may use more than five products to create their flawless look. They vary by brand but usually include facial foam, pore minimizing scrub, cleansing oil, moisture toner, whitening cream, and sleeping mask. It is interesting to note that Asian men have embraced many of the skincare tips and routines in China, South Korea and Japan for years.
Growing up in China, I witnessed firsthand the trend of skincare obsession in the recent decade. As the Chinese proverb says, “A white cover three ugly,” Chinese women are becoming more and more concerned to protect their skin from the sunlight, which causes serious harm to the skin, primarily aging and brown spots. In addition to the must-wear sunblock, Chinese women use umbrellas against the sun in the summer all the time.
My personal recommendations for fighting the suicidal summer skin are as followed:
The Face Shop – Herb Day Cleansing Cream (Aloe)
You will love it. This is a great cleansing product that washes and moisturizes your skin. Due to the fresh aloe and herb ingredients, this is a mild cleansing cream and will dampen and replenish your skin after cleansing.
Skin Food – Steam Milk Mask Cream
It feels like your skin is drinking milk while applying this steamed milk-infused cream, it melts into your skin immediately, while whitening and softening your skin. This mask is perfect at night and has a sweet scent. (We only recommend this if your skin is already that pale. We do not support those trying to strip themselves of their natural skin color, nor brands that encourage it.)
Skin Food – Royal Honey Propolis Essence
As one of the most popular skincare producers, another Skin Food’s star product would be their essence oil. It only takes two or three drops to enhance your protection, keep it radiant and moist each time.
Missha – Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Sleeping Mask
This sleeping mask has a lovely fresh scent, and contains snail slime extract to naturally regenerate and heal your skin, this sleeping mask will provide plenty moisture and vitality to the skin.
Innisfree – Super Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
A great product to tighten pores, exfoliate dead skin cells and remove sebum, you definitely can’t miss this one. After cleansing your face with the facial foam, you need to apply this clay mask to deepen cleansing process, and intensively resolve your pore concerns.
Natural Republic – Fresh Green Tea 70 Toner
Try to apply this toner after cleansing your face every morning and evening, you will find a gradual change in your skin, which becomes clearer and healthier. Additionally, for sensitive skin, this moisture-supplying toner takes good care of it with its refreshing feel.
