2016 Golden Globe Beauty Trends – For Spring/Summer Beauty Inspiration

Last week the Golden Globes’ top TV and film icons beautifully represented current makeup trends – setting the hottest makeup looks for women moving forward into 2016. These makeup trends actively provide beauty inspiration for off-the-red-carpet spring/summer looks – in particular for brides looking to have a spring/summer wedding.

After reviewing this year’s attendees, it is clear that soft pale lips with a clean smoky eye is the major trend statement. Furthermore, there was a strong emphasis on long and lush lashes and a well-define full brow. Lips for the upcoming spring season are trending as pale pinks, pastel roses, icy beiges, and nude tones. The smoky eye trend continues from the winter months into the spring, however is more of a “tight”/clean smoky eye – where the shadowing is not as extended nor is it too dramatic. Regardless of age, long and lush lashes were an across-the-board standard – a striking look accomplished via extending mascara, lash extensions, false lashes, or a combination of all three.

Beauty experts may argue, however, that the lashes and brows we saw this year on the red carpet might need to be toned down a tad for a wedding – still lush, but more natural. The spring and summer looks should generally be “of a lighter nature” – whereupon the current exaggerated lashes and full/filled-in brows could look too heavy with a full smoky eye.

Nonetheless, here are some of this year’s attendees who wore it best:
