A beautiful Intimate Wedding in Alsace/France / January 2021

Yes, it is possible to get married in these very extraordinary times, during the pandemic of Covid 19 that came into our lives a year ago this time. Unfortunately, the situation has not really improved as quickly as we would like, but it is slowly progressing. The vaccine is here but the vaccination campaign will take time.

While many couples were forced to postpone their wedding. Things are starting to open up slowly. For the purpose of this story, we are going to focus on a couple in our beloved France. So after having been forced to postpone their wedding that was to take place in July 2020 in a Mas in Provence, Marine and Brice decided to get married in spite of everything. Things had to be planned differently with all the health precautions and in their region. Marine is a hairdresser and very conscious of the health precautions to be taken and Brice is a photographer well aware of the impact that the covid is doing on his profession.

They chose to have an intimate wedding in an amazing chalet, the Chalet Laho in Alsace and more precisely in the Vosges Mountains.
A place that can accommodate 14 guests who will stay over and take full advantage of this large lounge, the fireplace, the spa, and the sauna with a superb view.
They wished to be with their relatives and children and enjoy it over several days. Every precaution was been taken by each of them to ensure that everyone is safe and healthy.

Marine and Brice had a week before their civil wedding at the town hall to avoid any contact or problems due to curfews and « gestes barrières ». Pcr test for all, hydroalcoholic gel and soaps available and here they are together in this beautiful chalet to celebrate their love, they have waited so long and have gone through so many difficult times.

Let’s have fun with this intimate wedding now!
The date was Saturday, January 30, 2021; it was raining but no worries Marine is getting ready in an attic room with her masked wearing hairdresser Julie. She puts on her beautiful dress. Brice is in another room set out for him to put on his outfit (turtleneck, wool coat …) Their photographer Fanny Auer has all the time necessary to take pictures of them without stress.

During this time the masked florist also (me, Les Fleurs de Ninon) decorates the table with dried and fresh flowers, and the whole chalet to sublimate this place a little more, she puts the bride bouquet and accessories near the coffee table in the living room … Everything is close and easy. The caterer delivers the meal and the cakes are placed in the kitchen. Shortbread, macaroons and cookies in beautiful dishes.

The ceremony was officiated by the sister of the bride, Marine, who was on the sheltered terrace of the chalet in front of the superb view At 2 pm. The cocktail hour will be at the same place and finally in the living room, this beautiful and long decorated table will be set for dinner. The day was full of rich emotions ….

Finally, love, happiness and joy even during a pandemic. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
