This past fashion season–October, the wedding industry finally gathered together to showcase some of the industry’s most exquisite dresses under one roof–on the famous 5th Avenue produced by two industry-rising stars Co-Founders, Christina Wettstein and Kimberly Marcoux.
About Melange de Blanc
Melange de Blanc, a new bridal market pop-up concept that has been vigorously gaining momentum among brands and buyers. Christina Wettstein and Kimberly Marcoux of bridal sales showroom Coterie White developed the Melange de Blanc concept last year when IRL bridal markets were on hold and buyers/designers began experimenting with virtual markets. Working closely with so many buyers, they continuously were hearing feedback that it’s too hard to buy virtually as the touch and feel of a gown is so important. They decided to test out the idea of smaller regional pop-up markets, so local buyers could all attend in a private, luxury environment without having to travel to New York during the specific time frames of October and April.
Melange de Blanc was launched in Palm Springs and was so successful they immediately began getting an influx of inquiries from buyers in other cities to come to their area. The pop-up markets continued in Atlanta, Palm Beach, New York City, and most recently Scottsdale, where they have all been increasingly more successful, selling out every time and adding more designers to each new location.
We had the honor of speaking to these two tenacious women who want to not only bring back the industry–but bring in new creatives that may have not been able to present their products to the right buyers.
