Well folks we have 40 days until the Eyeson-Akiwowo wedding and I must say I’M NERVOUS out my mind! And right fully so it’s crunch time, now is the time to dot all your “I’s” and cross all your “t’s” as well as sign all our final checks too :
Granted I’ve done just about everything I need to do, but there are a few things that I have to get on. Like I didn’t know we had to buy our own cake cutter… I mean really now I gotta spend $60 bucks on a fancy knife and spatula. So now that’s been added to my list, and we have to get the marriage licence, and not too mention I am still on my boot camp fitness kick and I’ve even added on a diet so you know a sista is “Cranky” as I am HUNGRY.
The other major thing on our “to do” list is to decide whether or not Aki and I will write our own vows or do we use the conventional ones and keep it moving! Now for those of you who know my fiance you know that he is the strong silent type, but when given the opportunity he is known to get a bit wordy.. I mean at our engagement party he got in front of our friends and called me a “connoisseur of love” and I still don’t know that really means 🙂 but I am sure I don’t want him to say that in front of my mother. But on the flip side my fiance is so passionate and loves me so much why would I even try to stifle his creative expression 🙂
But I am having a great time researching wedding cake options, we want to keep the momentum and style going clean, classic elegant lines and in the world of cakes your options are endless so its important to know what you want… and trust that I know what I want.
