On Sunday, July 28th, the Summer 2024 Charleston Bridal Show hit the city, and it was nothing short of enchanting. Set against the charming backdrop of Charleston, South Carolina, this event was a haven for brides-to-be seeking inspiration, top-notch vendors, and the latest in bridal trends. Walking through the beautifully decorated venue, the energy was vibrant—brides and their entourages excitingly explored every booth.
The first stop on our journey was the vibrant booth of Patricia Ann from Patricia Ann Paper Co. Her stationery was truly eye-catching, but it was Patricia’s warm personality that drew us in. As we admired her creations, she shared her story. “I needed a creative outlet outside of my 9-to-5 job,” she smiled. “I started watercoloring and quickly realized I could turn this passion into a career. Now, I create personalized stationery for brides-to-be.” Her art is a testament to passion meeting creativity.
Next, we delved into the world of dynamic duos—lovers working for lovers.
Matt and Kim from Coastal Creations are a full-service event florist in Charleston. With over 50 years of combined experience, they’ve mastered large-scale event florals.
Caitlin and Joel of Caitlin Marie Photography capture the whimsical essence of southern weddings. “It’s so special to capture a couple’s most important day,” Caitlin said, as Joel agreed.
Jacob and Rachael of Carters Creatives focus on telling each couple’s unique story. “We want to tell each couple’s story in a real, colorful way that will be cherished for generations,” they emphasized. Their passion adds a special touch to any wedding.
Lastly, we met Ansley Wilson from Brackish, an American accessories brand. Based in Charleston, their artisans handcraft all-natural, sustainably sourced feather bow ties and fine pieces. “Co-founder Ben Ross designed the first feather bow tie as a lasting gift for his groomsmen,” Ansley explained. “Now, we’ve expanded into women’s accessories and fine pieces, often seen on celebrities like Blake Lively, Howie Mandel, and Bill Murray.”
As the day closed, we reflected on the talent showcased at the Summer 2024 Charleston Bridal Show. Owner and Producer Kathy Baxley-Stewart shared her passion for the show’s 17-year success. The event highlighted Charleston as a premier wedding destination, offering everything a bride could dream of for an unforgettable day. The Summer 2024 Charleston Bridal Show was a testament to the vibrant wedding industry in the Holy City—Charleston has it all!
