New York City is buzzing with editors, celebrities, designers, makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion stylists, and buyers as the Spring-Summer 2024 runway collections make their debut in the city. NYFW allows industry insiders, as well as fashion and beauty enthusiasts, to preview what will be on-trend and in-style in the season to come. We are excited to see the looks that fashion brands and beauty teams have worked months to create. Let’s take a look at what debuted on NYFW’s first and second days.
Black In Fashion Council Showrooms: Presented by Rakuten
The BIFC was founded by Lindsay Peoples Wagner and Sandrine Charles as a response to the systemic exclusion of Black creatives in the fashion industry. Their mission is to champion for representation, equity, and repair for a group that goes often overlooked, uncredited, and excluded.
This season, BIFC is hosting a designer’s showroom that features: Ciara Chyanne, Fumi The Label, Kaphill, Korlekie, Khoi, Kilentar, Lurelly, Onalaja, Tia Adeola, and Tejahn Burnett.
