Globetrotting: Coconut Grove, Florida Mr. C Your New Address

Nestled in the lushnesses of Coconut Grove, there is a chic and elegant boutique hotel called Mr. C. The C stands for Cipriani, and if you’re familiar with the Cipriani brand, you can rest assure the Mr. C Hotel is a place dedicated on providing their guests with the finest services in hospitality. Inspired and created by the younger generation of Ciprianis, Mr. C is a new independent venture, bringing together the nautical history of Venice (the origins of the Cipriani family) with Italian style, grace and modernity.

Welcome Home

From the lobby to your room, you notice the care Mr. C put into the details and aesthetics. They have designed the entire hotel almost as a homage to the days of J class style yachts and sailboat splendor. The calming ocean blue walls, the wood trimmings and furniture put you plumb on the deck of boating elegance. The nautical design created by the firms Arquitectonica and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio are deliberate and extremely well executed. To think, all of this luxury magic is tucked into the greenery of Coconut Grove. Wow!

As soon as you walk through the double doors, you’re greeted with warm smiles by the attentive staff. The entrance lobby is where you’ll also be served their signature drink, the revitalizing Bellini, created long ago when the Cipriani forefathers started the legendary Harry’s Bar in Venice. From the front desk and throughout the hotel, you can feel the camaraderie amongst the staff. With such an energy, you can’t help but feel at home.

There is romance and charm at every corner in Mr. C. This is the place where you can celebrate any special occasion. From weddings to brunches to a quaint aperitif, whatever the moment, they have the place and that special touch to accommodate your event.

Tranquility

Need a weekend getaway? I can assure you that any room at Mr. C will provide you with the relaxation you’re looking for. My personal pick for such a weekend – the Premiere Bay View King. It’s amply spacious, with a generous balcony to recline and get into a good book. Inside the room you’ll find a beautifully crafted long wooden counter, perfect to place your personal belongings, mix your own drinks or whatever deliciousness you order from room service.

Speaking of food… head on up to the restaurant (also called Bellini), located on the rooftop. Whether you’re a long-stay guest, or there for a brunch with friends, have some cocktails or wine at the Rooftop Pool Deck. There, you will see Miami in a way you never have before. Who needs the Florida Keys when you have the breathtaking view of Biscayne Bay. If you’re a local, switch up your happy hour routine and enjoy libations with colleagues in the Bellini or their garden crêperie, Il Giardino. The restaurant offer at Mr. C is authentically Italian, from the chefs to the detailed service. The extensive menu perfectly emulates the Italian culinary tradition, with premium ingredients on display. I particularly enjoyed the grilled octopus, the shrimp risotto and the sublime pistachio gelato.

Will You? I Do!

If you’re looking for a remarkable place for a wedding, engagement dinner or anniversary, Mr. C offers you 7 venues to choose from. Whether your guest list comprises of just a few dozen invitees or a couple hundred, the fabulous events planning team are ready, willing and able to help you create that unforgettable moment.

For a more intimate affair, the Presidential Suite, is the way to go. At 1,750 square feet, this palatial suite is fully equipped with a modern kitchen, large dining table, high ceilings and portholes looking out onto Biscayne Bay and Coconut Grove. The windows are floor to ceiling, showcasing that Miami sunshine. The Presidential Suite is an ideal space to get a bridal party ready. It also has two large bedrooms (both which could be described as a Master Suite), two spa-like bathrooms and a living room ready to host friends and family.

South Beach will forever be cool, but if you’re looking for style, elegance, and that un certo qualcosa, pay a visit to Mr. C Hotel.
