An Intimate & Elegant Wedding in the Heart of Rome

Matteo and Giulia are a young couple who got married on May 27, 2023, at the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Romani in the heart of Rome with the help of wedding planner Giorgia Pirro. An intimate lunch with maximum attention to detail where friends and family, totaling 40 people, participated, in a romantic and suggestive garden overlooking the eternal city.

Their marriage proposal happened on Giulia’s thirtieth birthday while they were on vacation in Rome; for this reason, the couple decided to get married in the capital. Matteo and Giulia dreamed of an intimate and elegant wedding. Immediately after returning from their vacation in Rome, they contacted Giorgia, the wedding planner. They had a first call where they told their story, their desires: a simple, elegant, and refined wedding with soft and spring colors, a garden lunch in the center of Rome.

Giorgia arranged a site visit for them, and it was love at first sight; the couple had no doubts, thus giving up the vision of other locations; they were literally in love.

A wedding marked by elegance and simplicity. An imperial table was set up for the ceremony, capable of accommodating all the guests, including the bride and groom. For the table setting, a classic style was chosen, with country chic details, using cotton and linen tablecloths, precious porcelain, silver cutlery, and crystal glasses.

A not overly sophisticated garden lunch, enriched with spring tones using pastel colors to recreate a clean, sober, and elegant style where the protagonists were materials such as wood and chic fabrics like linen and lace.

To create their mise en place, the wedding planner started from the concept of a natural wedding, characterized by a location surrounded by greenery and an informal yet elegant style, where natural materials reigned supreme, and the bucolic atmosphere made everything more fairy-tale-like and romantic. Rattan chargers, lace tablecloths, linen napkins, all combined with porcelain with floral decorations in line with the palette chosen for their big day. A touch of exclusivity was given by the hand-painted menus that echoed the plate decorations.

To surprise the guests, the wedding planner suggested personalizing the tableau by creating small works of art to be used as placeholders. It was an idea that the couple immediately loved. The guests’ reaction was emotional when they saw themselves portrayed with watercolors and pencils, and it was satisfying to feel the pleasure of keeping the illustration as a cherished gift offered by the couple.

All the guests appreciated the day of their wedding, for the fantastic view of Rome, the excellent food, soft and balanced entertainment, and impeccable organization.
