So many folks want to focus solely on the wedding day. Do we really stop and think about what our bride, her bridal party were wearing before and will wear after the wedding? Clothes. We at WBM see beyond the wedding day. So as we covered NYFW our focus was what were you our readers going to wear before and after your wedding day. Zang Toi totally spoke to us, from the bride, mother of the bride attire to honeymoon attire that will leave your observers breathless. Here are our favorite looks straight from the runway. So run, don’t walk straight to Zang Toi’s boutique in New York.
This season’s collection was inspired by the legendary Yves Saint Laurent. Zang Toi paid homage to this legendary artist, craftsman, creator of all things beautiful as I am concerned, titling it “Vive Le Yves”.
Zang Toi has described this collection as being very personal, and very special. He describes the collection as a fan letter to his favorite designer, the late Yves Saint Laurent!
“I traveled to Marrakech, Morocco to visit the Yves Saint Laurent museum for inspiration. This destination was a major influence on his work – particularly the colors, so I felt it was the best place to visit.
Yves Saint Laurent once said: “A visit to Marrakech was a great shock to me. This city taught me color”. This is where Yves learned about color in his collections.
Like many generations of designers, I was always inspired by his works, and this season I decided to pay tribute to the master! So for my Spring 2019 collection, I used Yves Blue, Yves Green, and Marjorelle Blue.“
