Edgardo Zamora, the founder of Revelry Event Designers, is an award-winning event designer with nearly three decades of experience in the luxury wedding and event industry. He has collaborated with top planners worldwide to create unforgettable events, ranging from weddings to film premieres. His designs—seamlessly blending fashion, culture, interior design, and architecture—have been featured in prestigious publications such as The New York Times and Vogue. Zamora’s impressive client list includes celebrities such as Oprah, the Kardashians, Paris Hilton, and Beyoncé.
Design has always been a cornerstone of Zamora’s life. Growing up in Buenos Aires, he made a name for himself as a fashion designer in his early 20s. He later moved to Spain to work on events for the Olympics, and eventually to Los Angeles, where he designed movie premieres before transitioning into wedding design.
One of his first luxury weddings was a memorable event in 2000 for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. Coming from a film-premiere background, Zamora recalls the magic of that day as transformative. Seeing how happy the couple was with the final result—and how much his work meant to them—made him fall in love with weddings. He has been designing them ever since.

Creating a unique wedding begins with understanding the couple. Their story, personality, vision, and background all influence every aspect of the design, including the color palette, venue, flow, linens, and décor. Zamora creates custom design renderings for each wedding, offering the couple various options to choose from. Once a vision is finalized, a mock presentation is set up in the Los Angeles warehouse, allowing the couple to walk through the design and make any desired changes or additions.
Edgardo advises couples just starting their wedding planning journey to create a list of must-haves and top priorities. Establishing a budget helps maintain focus. While it’s easy to get overwhelmed by Instagram trends and Pinterest ideas, bringing a basic vision to a planner provides a strong starting point. He also recommends meeting with multiple planners to ensure the best fit.
Clear communication is vital when managing client expectations, Zamora emphasizes. Setting realistic goals at the outset and keeping clients informed throughout the process is key. Whether dealing with bad weather, technical glitches, or installation delays, Zamora ensures there’s an alternative plan for every potential issue and a capable team ready to execute it.

Sustainability is a cornerstone of Revelry Event Designers’ ethos. Their 120,000-square-foot Los Angeles warehouse houses carpentry, fabric, lighting, furniture, and décor—all designed for reuse. After each event, materials such as wood, fabric, and furniture are carefully sorted, cleaned, repaired, and stored. Unused fabric is repurposed into furniture covers, cushions, or cleaning supplies, while wood is reused for new projects. Furniture no longer needed is donated. During event breakdowns, every material—from fabric to bottle caps—is meticulously retrieved and recycled or repurposed. This commitment to sustainability reflects Zamora’s vision of a greener, more responsible future.
Key trends in wedding design center around personalization. Couples are creating unique and memorable experiences with oversized statement pieces like garden arches, custom draping, and elaborate décor. Ambient lighting—including chandeliers, pendants, sconces, candles, and LED accents—is essential for setting a romantic atmosphere.
One popular trend is creating a custom logo or decal, which is integrated into every aspect of the wedding, from the dance floor to furniture, linens, and invitations. This “branding” of a wedding makes each event distinctive and extraordinary.

Zamora highlights the difference between event designers and wedding planners, roles that are often confused. While planners handle budgeting, vendor coordination, and scheduling, designers focus on the creative and visual aspects. Designers like Zamora oversee elements such as color palettes, renderings, space planning, and décor while working closely with vendors and subcontractors. For larger events, designers act as a vital link between planners and vendors, ensuring a seamless execution.
Edgardo draws inspiration from his travels, incorporating cultural elements, architecture, textiles, and art into his designs. He works with local vendors to create personalized and remarkable destination weddings that celebrate both the couple’s vision and the unique character of the location.
After nearly 30 years in the industry, Zamora continues to innovate and inspire, speaking at global conferences to share his expertise and stay ahead of industry trends.
