Florida, AKA Sunny Florida the name is used with good reason. Greater Fort Lauderdale has so much to offer you our readers in the way of activities, that we could not pack everything in one article, it would be too much, to say the least. So we found a few hidden gems that would make this worth a read and taking a trip to beautiful Florida.
Besides having some of the best beaches in the country, it also is home to some of the best historical sites, restaurants and water activities the region has to offer.
Since it is our mission to find you the best here are some off the beaten path locations you may not read about to often but boy are they packed with activities for you and your beloved to explore.
The Bonnet House Museum & Gardens
Is an exotic estate that will leave you smitten. You will either fall in love with it or not. But you will definitely find it an interesting place to face just to hear about the intriguing story behind its owners. It is now open to the public for tours and events. The beautiful grounds make it a wonderful place for an outdoor wedding for those of you who love the arts and are looking for a unique place to say I do.
Charter One Yachts (We toured the Grand Floridian)
Is absolutely gorgeous. It is a visually beautiful piece of hardware that sits on the waters awaits you and your guest to give you a tour of the region by way of the water. It has a full kitchen set up for your reception needs and to cater to your guests. There are various levels where you can decide to tie the knot on the boat if you wish as you sail away on this luxury party boat.
If you are a foodie, you must go to Louie Bossi’s. It is like going home to your nana’s house for all the major holidays and getting first class service. The food just keeps coming out, and even though you may be stuffed you can’t contain yourself, you must try everything. The staff is very knowledgeable about everything they have to offer. They simply want to make this the most enjoyable experience you have while dining with them.
The atmosphere is both chic and yet relaxing. The wall of fame of all their portraits gives you a full history lesson of what the place means to the community. It is worth asking for a tour while enjoying the cuisine.
But before leaving make sure you play a game of Bocce Ball.
The only way I can describe this wonderful space is a combination of garden party, sports bar, yachting club, and nightclub all wrapped into one.
You have to be a people lover if you do anything in this space. It is massive. it is packed with so many people, from the moment you walk in the door to the back of the space for your private space–whichever you prefer.
While we were there we saw a wedding and engagement and an anniversary party happening steps away from each other. And not to mention the 100’s of people that were simpling dinning there. It was big I tell you. But everyone was happy, and having a good time and the service was wonderful.
My recommendation this place would be a perfect place for an engagement party, bachelorette party hands down. The crowd will make you feel welcome and will help you celebrate.
Looking for somewhere PERFECT for your farewell meal, whether it is breakfast or brunch with your traveling guests or an intimate meal with you and your new in-laws. GG’s Waterfront is your answer. Overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, this establishment is the perfect mix of elegance, gorgeous view, and a great festive environment for a family get together– worthy of any wedding occasion.
I am proud to report that all of these establishments had a diverse team– not only in the kitchen I might add. This speaks volume to us at World Bride Magazine, because we want each and every one of you our readers to feel invited and welcomed.
So take a trip to Greater Fort Lauderdale region and tell them World Bride Magazine sent you!
