Nuptials in Naples

Wed in the heart of Campania beneath the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius, on the coast of the bright blue Tyrrhenian sea. As the setting of the popular Neapolitan Novels and home to the world’s best pizza, Naples has a lot to offer a deluxe wedding destination. Between the magical winding streets of the Quartiere Spagnoli, the mesmerizing vistas from the hilltops of Capodimonte or Sant’Elmo, and the beachy resorts of the nearby islands Procida, Capri, and Ischia, the options are endless.

After a week spent exploring all the nooks and corners of the lively and charming city (and, let’s be honest, indulging a bit too much in the Neapolitan cuisine), I narrowed down all of the luxurious, creative wedding venues to my top three:

Regina Isabella, Ischia

This 5-star luxury hotel is situated on the picturesque island of Ischia, less than an hour ferry from the main shores of the city. Picture the ideal destination wedding spot: a placid bay, stunning rocky cliffs surrounding, Mediterranean pinewood trees in every direction, and your own private beach. As if that’s not enough, your guests can enjoy access to thermal springs and a spa that utilizes “bioactive waters” and “bioactive thermal mud.” People have been flocking to these healing and healthful since the 8th century B.C.!

As a wedding venue, Regina Isabella features unique and charming spots to welcome guests and take photos such as their flower garden and their wide terraces that overlook the sea and scenery. With three different restaurants and countless photo-ops, the team at Regina Isabella can make any of your big-day dreams a reality.

Villa Fattorusso, Posillipo

The posh Posillipo neighborhood is home to the shoreline’s best beaches and hilltop views of the whole gulf of Naples. Villa Fattorusso is a stunning seaside villa featuring massive terraces that look out onto Vesuvius and Capri. Also on site are two seawater pools and a panoramic garden, the absolute best places for watching the famous Sorrento peninsula’s sunsets.

This spot makes my top three for the exceptional event planning staff and top-notch seafood options. And its steep descent down to the private beach means the backdrops to all your wedding photos will be just jaw-dropping.

Romeo Hotel, Naples

For a wedding in the heart of Naples, Romeo hotel is located right by the port of Naples and only a few steps away from a metro. With a name like Romeo, the hotel is ideal for a chic wedding with elements of contemporary design.

The hotel’s two different restaurants are to die for: Beluga Bistro & Terrace on the 9th floor for its urban-luxe ambiance and tasty cocktails and the Michelin-starred Il Comandante on the 10th floor for gourmet cuisine. The hotel’s gorgeous ballroom on the 9th floor can host up to 200 people and features panoramic sea views.
