Coco Chanel once said a girl should be “classy and fabulous”.
That’s exactly what you get at the fashion brand’s newest location in the Miami Design District. This two-story boutique located at 155 NE 41st Street is a priceless gem that quite literally shines bright in the outdoor shopping center.
The abstract store was designed by New York architect Peter Marino, 72, which has a white stucco façade, beveled black steel window frames, gray stone floors, and hand plastered walls. Inside the airy boutique, guests are treated to a stunning 30-foot-tall atrium and 120-square-foot skylight that allows the sun to filter through, which make clothes, makeup and accessory try-ons a breeze.
Several shelves, platforms and windows throughout the boutique display runway looks from Chanel’s Cruise 2021/22 collection, including the fashion house’s silk crepe top and pants combo, painted cotton tweed jacket and small flap bag.
Measuring a total of 7,600 square feet, guests work their way through the boutique’s assorted handbags, eyewear, scarves, fine jewelry, watches, fragrances and cosmetics before they proceed up the grand 40-foot staircase to view Chanel’s ready-to-wear and shoe collections.
Brides have a selection of items they can choose from for their big day or everyday life. Workdays and bridal showers become effortless with Chanel’s pearled tweed blouse and skirt while date nights and bachelorette parties become unforgettable with the cashmere and cotton top and calfskin skirt. Or maybe you’re looking for something that can handle brunch and a honeymoon beach day, look no further than Chanel’s crepe de chine dress.
If you’re a fragrance and home décor connoisseur, you’ll want to take a look at the boutique’s crown jewel – a 2,021 ml bottle of Chanel N°5. The commemorative limited-edition bottle celebrates the perfume’s 100th anniversary and comes packaged in a beautiful Baccarat flacon and leather case. A crystal wand is included in case you’d like to use the signature scent, but you might not want to, considering there are only 55 of these handmade pieces in the world.
Skincare and makeup enthusiasts can sashay their way over to Chanel’s beauty counter, which is strategically situated under the boutique’s skylight. There, you can test products and get real-time feedback from a beauty advisor who knows the brand’s history and formulations to a T. From Chanel’s holy grail Sublimage La Crème Ultimate Skin Regeneration that revitalizes skin with plant molecules to the iconic Rouge Allure Lip Colour that goes on smooth with a satin finish, you won’t be able to resist.
Capacity might be limited depending on the time you visit, so appointments are highly encouraged. But, trust us, it’s absolutely worth it!
