To Veil or Not to Veil?

Were you the bride with the extremely long piece of tulle trailing behind you as you walked down the aisle? We all have seen it at one time or another! Are you an undecided bride-to-be who feels pressured to wear a veil because of tradition?

Most recently during this wedding season I’ve noticed this “ditch the veil and wear a fabulous headpiece for your wedding trend.” Brides are leaving the traditional long veil in their grandmother’s closets and replacing them with a statement headpiece. Nobody’s face and hair are being concealed by long pieces of tulle anymore!

I’m seeing a lot of vintage throwbacks that channel more art deco and thematic looks (“vintage” meaning nothing from the “80s or 90s”). As a bridal hairstylist I love it! No veil means that the beautiful structural up-do or the long Veronica Lake waves that I’ve created for you can actually be seen and doesn’t go unnoticed.

Andrea Pitter, owner of Brooklyn’s bridal hotspot, Pantora Bridal, designs bridal headpieces. These contemporary but still glamorous headpieces pair well with her gorgeous bridal gowns and evening wear. If you’re looking for a sophisticated + stylish accessory to complete your bridal ensemble, you should definitely visit her shop located at 241 Rogers Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225.

Unable to visit? No worries, you can purchase her beautiful pieces online at www.pantorabridal.com.
