Profiling World Bridal Couture: Isabel Zapardiez

Isabel Zapardiez is one of Spain’s greatest treasure. Mixing flattering cuts with artistic detailing, this seasoned dress maker and pattern designer offers the conservative bride just the right touch of glamour.

At the age of only 16 Zapardiez had already obtained a degree in Dress Making and Pattern Design, starting her career at a tailoring firm in San Sebastian, Spain. By the age of 20 Zapardiez was fully immersed in her profession.

Fifteen years into her career, Zapardiez’s current activity in haute couture is currently defined by her technical mastery of rare fabrics and by a creative inspiration that fuses together tradition and the avant-garde. Today she personally designs and directs all of the phases involved in the elaboration of her creations for both bridal and celebration couture.

Below are a few pics from her runway feature at Cibeles Madrid Novia, Madrid’s bridal show and exhibition.
