It was a difficult pill to swallow hearing the news of the passing of the late Amsale Aberra. So to receive an invite to her show was not only an honor but it was a chance to celebrate her legacy in a room filled with people that both loved her, her work and also respected the brand.

The response was so great for those that wanted to be in attendance that they had to do two shows.  The Amsale team choose one of the coolest, and regal of hotels The Gramercy Hotel.  The ambiance is set for royalty with its rich colors of deep reds, and the chandelier reminiscent of a royal foyer.  It was perfectly set.

Upstairs on the indoor rooftop with its glass ceiling giving perfect light seemed to make perfect sense.  The day was sunny even though it was a bit cooler for a Spring day.  But today–the weather was just right for a send-off for Queen Amsale.  We all came to celebrate the gift of her last collection before her successor would take over. The next set of brides the would be fortunate enough to own a piece of Amsale would not only own a masterpiece but would be part of the legacy of the brand.
