WE DID IT!!! My wife, Chandra and I have shared 11 years of marriage together! Surprisingly, each year is just as mesmerizing as the first. So we thought, what better way to celebrate than a romantic getaway… without our two kids. We wanted different scenery; somewhere other than home in New York City, and we didn’t want to go too far; the perfect compromise, a romantic two hour drive to the picturesque hills of Mount Poconos, PA.
To accommodate my wife’s requirements of luxury and peaceful relaxation and my desire to indulge in the finest cuisines and activities, the Mount Airy Casino Resort won hands down. This beautiful resort offers a full service spa & salon, a fully equipped gym, heated indoor/outdoor pool, an 18 hole golf course, several amazing restaurants, concerts, comedy shows, a nearby outlet mall and two floors of more than 1,800 slot machines and over 80 gaming tables!
After our visit, I now understand why Mt. Airy is Pennsylvania’s first AAA Four-Diamond-rated casino. The resort was very clean and all the employees were very pleasant… even while asking my wife and I for proof of identification when we entered the casino. FYI: best feeling ever! Another great was eating so many different and delectable cuisines under one roof. Everything from American and BBQ to Asian and of course a fully loaded buffet with something for everyone. My personal favorite is Guy Fieri’s Mt. Pocono Kitchen and my wife loved Bistecca by IL MULINO.
The Mt. Airy Casino Resort is a picture perfect venue for a couple’s vacation or wedding. And, to top it all off their casino likes to engage their guest with the possibility of winning my dream car – that beautiful $117,000 Maserati car lottery displayed on the gaming floor – but you know the drill – you gotta play to win! Good Luck!
