His Fall/Winter 2020 runway show cultivates a unique modern look by honoring tradition influence while focusing on a new perspective of beauty. Each gown depicts the extravagance of a royal dynasty. Details emphasize sculptured and voluminous shapes like palace statues. Sequins and gowns ornamented with faux furs prove glamorous and dramatic. Regal textiles such as damasks, jacquards and brocades use ornate and filigree motifs finished in rich metallic jewel tones worthy of its “Mongolian” inspiration.
We also caught up with the fantastic beauty team backstage. Honest Beauty and Orcé teams were led by makeup artist Daniel Martin. Hair led by hair stylist Kevin Ryan for R Session Pro Tools. Skin care prep by Tatcha while nail lacquer and design were brought by Lux K on behalf of Pear Nova. Each uniquely represented the Mongolian Empire theme that was cohesive and complimentary to the gowns.
