There are places you travel to that bring enjoyment. Then there are places that mark your life for more. Beyond the beauty, the attractions in Bali awaits you and it harbors wondrous experiences and adventure.
What Bali Offers: The Sacred. The Spiritual
I traveled originally for a coaching therapy retreat with Jessica David Coaching Inc. and a small group of girlfriends, seeking the sacred and the spiritual. However, after considering the itinerary, my husband thought our children could experience a retreat of their own. Indeed he was right. Consequently, we booked a villa stay in Ubud’s Gianyar Regency, where Novi Dantari Event Coordinating Services curated our days.

What We Offer: Honest Takes
Uncovering Bali needs time and careful attention. Granted, you can do the search on your own, but you could alternatively contact an expert like Novi. Instead, Worldbride Magazine brings you direct curated experiences from an authentic editorial perspective. In fact, we share our ventures so you can confidently book your adventures. To begin our journey, we start with a destination that perfectly balances nature, family, and friendship. In my case, it was the best of all these worlds combined.

1. Mason Elephant Park and Lodge – Taro, Bali
The drive into Taro feels like the jungle is making a decision about you. By the time we arrived at Mason Elephant Park and Lodge, the outside world had already fallen away. Notably, the park is largely self-guided, with trail signs leading you through lush grounds where rescued Sumatran elephants roam with quiet authority.

First, we explored the Elephant Discovery Museum, where a life-sized woolly mammoth skeleton replica commands the room. Remarkably, it is the only one of its kind in Southeast Asia, and Bella walked beneath those enormous tusks with deep focus.

Baby Elephants – Family Attractions in Bali
In addition to the museum, the Baby Elephant Nursery requires you to plan to get wet. After the babies finish lunch, which they drag and scatter everywhere with full satisfaction, visitors wash them down. Naturally, Beau took his hose seriously, while Bella wrapped her arms around a trunk. Beyond that, when the baby elephant placed its trunk gently on top of my head, offering what Balinese culture recognizes as a blessing, I received it completely.

Treetop Walkway and Highpoint Views with Gelato
Next, take the treetop walkway above the jungle canopy to dry off and watch the elder elephants wading in the lagoon. Afterwards, the gelato stand on the way towards the exit will perfectly satisfy the afternoon. Mason Elephant Park is layered but completely worth your time. Additionally, wear your most comfortable walking shoes as the elevated terrain and the sights will keep you moving.

Entrance Fees: Adults: IDR 750,000 (approx. $46 USD) Children ages 5–12: IDR 500,000 (approx. $31 USD) Children under 5: Free Includes elephant feeding, museum access, and a welcome drink. The elephant bathing experience is an additional IDR 350,000 (approx. $22 USD) per person.

2. Divine Attractions in Bali – Tegenungan Waterfall in Gianyar
Next on our journey is Tegenungan Waterfall, notably one of the most beloved natural attractions in Bali, and the moment you see it from above, you understand why. Strikingly, the 15-meter cascade drops into a river gorge wrapped in dense jungle, and the raw beauty stays with you during the descent. Unlike more remote falls, Tegenungan features well-maintained pathways that make it genuinely accessible for families.

Initially, we started at the entry, where the carved wooden welcome sign frames the waterfall perfectly. Truly, it is the kind of arrival that earns its photograph.

Just before the descent, the bird nest photo installations along the ridge invited us to pause. Thoughtfully positioned above the canopy with the falls visible behind, they make for gorgeous portrait photographs.

The Descent into the Majestic Pools
Following this, the descent began. Beau counted every step on the way down; somewhere between 150 and 170. Certainly, only a child who loves math would take that assignment on voluntarily. Essentially, the paths are paved and manageable, with natural rest points that invite you to admire the rising cliff walls.

Next, we reached the shallow pool. Draped in toga-style ivory linen cover-ups, we stood beneath the falls and declared purity and wellness over one another. Afterward, we submerged our “old selves” and emerged anew. Eventually, the kids dipped and leaped right along with us, which is precisely the kind of moment you cannot plan and will never forget.

The Bamboo Bali Experience
At the base, a roped bamboo walk hovers over the river, guiding you toward the waterfall. Therefore, the children crossed it independently and safely, making their way to the riverbed to build stone towers with focused joy. These splash areas are safe and shallow, perfect for small feet and big energy.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the riverbed, a vast swing over a pool gave everyone a chance to dry off with a little drama. Bella soared, and Beau soared higher. However, neither looked remotely nervous, which is exactly what you want and also slightly terrifying as a mother.

Afterward, as you prepare for the ascent toward the exit, resting areas offer souvenir shopping, more photo opportunities and food to fuel your climb. Ultimately, Tegenungan changes you if you let it. Go expectant, go with your people, and let the water have its way.
Entrance Fees: Adults: IDR 25,000 (approx. $1.50 USD) Children: IDR 15,000 (approx. $1 USD) Note: fees are collected at the gate and can fluctuate slightly. Bring small bills.

3. Swing Heaven and the Koi Boat – Ayung River Valley, Bali
Swing Heaven lives up to its name, and then some. Particularly, this park stands out among the most thrilling attractions in Bali, sitting on a cliffside overlooking the Ayung River valley. Therefore, as I have said consistently throughout this review, you should expect steps and wear comfortable shoes. However, what awaits you at the top is worth every single one of them.
Furthermore, the moment I walked into the Swing Heaven fashion shop, I lost myself entirely in an entire bamboo pavilion filled with colorful flowing gowns available for rent. Additionally, there’s a dressing room with styling assistance, free lockers, and racks running the full spectrum from bold tangerine to deep magenta to glacier blue. For women and young girls, this is the most exciting stop on the property. Full stop.

Fashionable Attractions in Bali
Indeed, Bella and I moved through those racks together, holding dresses up, debating colors, laughing at the ones that swallowed her whole. When she landed on hers, a white gown that made her look like she had floated in from an enchanted storybook, I stopped. Truly, she looked like a fairy; genuinely the kind of moment a mother tucks away and keeps.

Valley of Swings – Heavenly Attractions in Bali
Once dressed, the property opens up in an entirely new way as we gathered in our vibrant gowns for a moment of pure joy.

Beyond the fashion moment, Swing Heaven delivers exactly what its name promises. Specifically, the park sits on a cliffside overlooking the Ayung River valley and features 11 different swings, ranging from gentle and scenic for the faint-hearted, to high-adrenaline launches that send you soaring above the jungle canopy.

However, my children had absolutely no interest in the gentle options. Instead, Beau went up first, and Bella quickly followed with her arms stretched wide, completely unbothered by gravity. Clearly, both looked like they belonged up there.

Capture Lush and Luminous Moments
Beyond the swings, a trail of creative photo spots winds through the property. For instance, Bella perched in a teardrop woven nest surrounded by jungle green, creating a spectacular photogenic moment.

Additionally, the dramatic staircases were made for trailing gowns, while the heart-shaped lawn held us all as we spun and let the fabric catch the Bali air. Ultimately, the jungle ridge gave us a backdrop no studio could replicate, proving that this destination is completely worth your time.

The Koi Boat: Serene Attractions in Bali
Truly, the koi are at most attractions in Bali. In fact, at Swing Heaven, no matter where you are on the property, vibrant flashes of orange, white, and red move through the water beneath you. As a result, the children were eager to feed the fish at every opportunity the grounds offered.

Attractions in Bali Celebrate Intimacy
Next on our itinerary was the Koi Boat, an experience that deserves its own distinct moment. The flower-adorned yellow boat sits within a peaceful pond designed to create a floating infinity pool illusion against the jungle backdrop. Because it seats only two at a time, it is well-suited for children, best friends, and couples looking for a moment with no crowds and no distractions. Just the two of you, surrounded by hundreds of vibrant koi pressing in from every side, the jungle rising behind you, and the water so dark and still it looks like a mirror.

The Buddy Experience – Kid Friendly Attractions in Bali
First, the twins settled into the boat with fish food and fresh fruit, going completely still. Afterwards, Jess and I, with Gowns, cocktails, conversation, koi fish pressing against the hull from every direction, took our sail and I forget where we were. Serene, picturesque, and completely unhurried.

Entrance Fees: IDR 500,000 (approx. $31 USD) per person for the full package, which includes unlimited swing access, photo spots, and the koi pond experience. Dress rental is an additional cost, typically around IDR 100,000–150,000 (approx. $6–$9 USD) per gown.

4. Taman Tirta Gangga Water Palace – East Bali
From above, Taman Tirta Gangga looks like something a king dreamed and then actually built. The former royal water palace spreads across 1.2 acres of tiered fountains, manicured gardens, and crystal-clear koi ponds. Known as a jewel on the water, it offers a peaceful retreat compared to more crowded attractions in Bali. Indeed, that stillness is part of what makes it extraordinary.

The Stepping Stones
Specifically, the floating stepping stones across the Mahaberata Pond are the centerpiece of the experience. These stone tiles hover just above the water’s surface, guiding you through the pond while large koi surround you. Additionally, you can purchase fish food near the entrance for roughly 5,000 IDR (less than $0.30 USD) per bag, and the moment you open it the fish are on you.

Poised like a Princess
The girlfriends and I made our way across those stones, hems growing damp as the koi leaped around us. They were not subtle about their excitement, and therefore, neither were we. Ultimately, standing in a royal water garden with fish circling you feels completely surreal. Moreover, from above, the four of us on those stones looked exactly like a painting.

The Gardens and Mythical Statues
Beyond the pond, the 1.2-acre complex rewards a slow walk. Presently, intricate stone carvings of mythical creatures and Hindu gods line every path. Because Bella and Beau have spent two years studying mythical creatures, Tirta Gangga turned into an impromptu scavenger hunt as they confidently recalled names.

Verdant Attractions in Bali
In addition, the monumental 11-tier fountain anchors the garden at its center, surrounded by lush, photogenic grounds. Expect an entrance fee of IDR 90,000 (approx. $5.50 USD) for adults, and IDR 45,000 (approx. $2.75 USD) for children. Ultimately, we spent about two hours exploring one of the most serene attractions in Bali.
Regarding practical advice, remind children to stand steady when feeding the fish near the stones. Indeed, the koi become quite spirited when food appears and will leap. Furthermore, while it is thrilling, it will absolutely get your hem wet. So wear something you do not mind getting a little baptized.

5. Melasti Beach and the Kecak Fire Dance – Ungasan, Bali
Known for its towering limestone cliffs and cinematic winding road, Melasti Beach is one of those coastal attractions in Bali that features pristine white sand, and calm, crystal-clear waters perfect for families. Consequently, we arrived between 5:15 and 5:30, early enough to secure good seats and catch the sunset. Remarkably, builders carved the open-air amphitheater directly into the limestone cliffs above the beach, ensuring the stage sits against an uninterrupted ocean view. Even in a heavy downpour, the 360-degree sunset was stunning. Although we sat higher than I initially wanted to, ultimately, I am glad we did.

Kecak Fire Dance: A Warrior’s Love
Running daily, the 60-minute show retells the epic Ramayana through rhythmic chanting, “cak cak cak”, rising and falling in waves across the circle of performers. Remarkably, this sound gets inside you before you realize it is happening. In addition to distributing cheerful disposable ponchos, staff provided a leaflet outlining the story’s four stages. of the story, so you could follow Rama, Sita, and the army of monkeys as the narrative unfolded. Notably, the entrance fee is around 124,000 IDR (about $7.00USD) while kids under 10 attend free.

Obviously, Bella and Beau locked in from the first chant, basically because Hanuman, the white monkey character, playfully worked the crowd.

Because the performance is unexpectedly interactive, sitting higher up turned out to be the right call, essentially, allowing us to contentedly observe from above.

Finally, the iconic fire finale closed the night, leaving the audience completely still as the heat from burning coconut husks carried on the wind. That kind of stillness only happens when something real is occurring in front of you.
Running from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the show requires you to arrive by 5:30 at the latest. There is a small separate beach access fee applied at the gate: IDR 10,000 (approx. $0.60 USD) for adults and IDR 3,000 (approx. $0.20 USD) for children.

6. Sanur Beach – Sanur Bali
Sanur Beach is widely considered the safest waterfront destination among the major attractions in Bali, and from the moment you arrive, you understand why. Unlike the heavy surf breaks at Kuta or Uluwatu, Sanur’s coast is protected by a massive offshore reef that turns the shoreline into a giant, shallow lagoon. Consequently, it is relaxed, traditional, and incredibly easy to navigate. While we had plenty of water sports activities to choose from, we settled on three.

1. The Rolling Donut: Hold On!
First, we took a donut water ride, which set the tone for the entire afternoon. An inflatable tube gets pulled across the lagoon by a speedboat at a thrilling pace that makes polite conversation impossible and genuine screaming entirely appropriate. Although we were nervous, we held on tight, and laughed through every bounce and wave. Remarkably, nobody let go. That counts as a win. This 15-minute marine sport costs 338,000 IDR (less than $20.00 USD).

2. Sea Walker: See a World Below
Next, the sea walking experience offered something else entirely, allowing participants to descend to the ocean floor wearing pressurized helmets that allow them to breathe and move freely underwater while tropical fish dart around them in every direction. The water is a luminous turquoise, and the fish are bold enough to swim directly up to the glass.
Although, Bella did not meet the 5-foot height requirement. Her brother, who was tall enough, beautifully decided he did not want to experience it without her. Instead of remaining ashore, they sailed out on the boat to spend the 20-minute experience feeding ocean fish and watching the bubbles rise. They both noted that their turn will come at our next destination. Fees for this 20 minute experience are 945,000 IDR (about $54.00 USD).

3. Parasailing: The Grand Finale
Follwing this, the parasail was the finale, and it earned the title. Bella, Beau, and their uncle went up together, and from the photograph alone you can feel the altitude. The boat becomes a small red dot on a vast blue sea. From this vantage point, the coastline of Sanur stretches out beneath you, impossibly green against the water. Ultimately, their feet hang freely in the open air above all of it. We paid 338,000 IDR (less than $20.00USD) per person for the 20 minute flight.

Ultimately, the beach hut at Sanur rounds out the practical side beautifully, with a souvenir shop, snack bar, showers, a changing room, and lockers. Although, Sanur was exhilarating, it was the perfect thrill to end our trip.
In conclusion, Bali does not let you leave the same and these experiences makes sure of it. We have stories, photos and memories for life and it’s essentially here to help guide your travel choices. Note, the rates for these experiences fluctuate and some operators price differently for walk-ins versus advance bookings. Always confirm current rates directly with each venue before your visit.
